New Delhi: Megan Markle and Prince Harry continue to make their contribution to the people of Ukraine. The couple made donations to charities in support of the Ukrainians as they paid tribute to Sergei Karaivan, an Invictus athlete who died fighting against Russian forces.

According to Fox News, the couple’s Archivewell Foundation announced Friday that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made donations to a number of organizations working on the ground in support of the Ukrainian people.

These organizations include HIAS (Helping Ukrainian Families to Immigrate), the World Central Kitchen, the World Health Organization and the HALO Foundation. Notably, the Hollow Foundation is an organization that supports Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

Megan & Harry’s Foundation pays tribute to Invictus athlete Serhi Karaivan, who died on March 13 while fighting Russian forces. Harry, who has served in the military for more than 10 years, started the 2014 Invictus Games.

“Finally, our hearts are heavy as we acknowledge the loss of someone from our senior community in Ukraine who defended his country from attack,” the Foundation said in a statement.

Meghan and Harry first condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 25, with a statement posted on the Archive website saying, “We stand with the Ukrainian people.”
