New Delhi: The Bhagwat Gita will be introduced not only to Hindus but also to southern state schools from next year if recommended by experts, Karnataka Education Minister PC Nagesh said on Friday (March 18).

The state education minister said the government wants to introduce ethical science in the future and its lesson will be decided later.

He added, “We are going to talk to our principal about whether we are going to introduce moral science and we want to consult with him and introduce it in the next academic year. Whatever the Bhagavad Gita, the Ramayana or the Mahabharata, will be introduced to what impact it has on children.

The BJP minister said the Bhagwat Gita would be introduced from next academic year if recommended by experts. “The Bhagavad Gita belongs not only to Hindus but to all.
