Australian Nick Kyrgios, who lost his cool during the tournament, is angry again after beating Rafa Natale on Thursday (March 17) in Indian Wells.

Nadal defeated Kyrgios 7-6 (0) 5-7 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the blockbuster.

After the defeat, Kyrgios shook hands with Nadal and the referee before smashing his tennis racket to the ground, something he had done in the past.

The rocket jumped from the court and almost hit a boy who was standing in front of Kyrgios. If the ball had collided with the mat, he would have been seriously injured.

Here is what happened:

Later, Kyrgios apologized for being angry after losing at the hands of Rafa Nadal in Indian Wells.

The bowler was ducked out following a 7-6 (0) 5-7 6-4 defeat to Spaniard Natale on Thursday.

“At the end of the match I would like to apologize to that ball kid,” Kyrgios wrote on Instagram. “It was a complete accident and frustrated at the end of the match.

“My rocket took a crazy bounce. It was not my intention. If anyone knows who that ball kid is, send me a message and I’m sending him a cheat. I’m glad he’s fine!”

Kyrgios, 26, initially defended himself when asked about a post-match incident, scolding a reporter for focusing on it after a blockbuster quarter-final clash.

“What do I want to say about that?” He said. “Apparently, was that my intention? No. Because I threw the rocket. Did I throw the rocket somewhere near him first? It slid down a meter from my foot and hit him almost.”

“I’m a man. Things like that happen. Obviously this is a very unfortunate bounce. I think it would not have gone that way if I had done it a million times.”

Nadal said last week that Alexander Sverev was eligible for a one-year probationary – but immediately after his immediate suspension, fierce penalties for the game to prevent explosions, following a stubborn outburst in Agapulko.

The 24-year-old German Olympic champion has apologized for failing to “sport unworthy conduct” after smashing his cheat against the referee’s chair.

“Because these situations happen so often, the ATP needs to reconsider things and make decisions,” Nadal said after Thursday’s match.

“It’s not about today’s match because I do not see what happened in the end, so I can not have an opinion … I (Kyrgios) want the best so I hope nothing bad happens.

“But if it’s bad, ATP must make decisions to avoid it and stop it, because sometimes, even if it’s very unfortunate or unfortunate, something goes right at the moment when something negative happens.”
