New Delhi: The festival of colors – Holi has arrived. This year it will be marked on March 18 and Choti Holi and Holika Dahan will be celebrated one day earlier on March 17 respectively. The Holi festival reflects more than just vibrant hues and fun time with family and friends. Holi brings the opportunity to indulge in delightful, mouth-watering, sweet and spicy foods.

To give a nutritious and innovative twist to this year’s celebrations, here are some delicious Quaker Oat Holi recipes. Prepare these easy-to-make dishes and celebrate this Holi in a healthy way:

Quaker Oatmeal presented by the Institute of Home Economics:

required things:

Quaker oats * (fried and powdered) – 50 g

Sugar (optional) – to taste

Goa (minced and mashed) – 15 g

Ghee (optional) – to taste

Almonds (powdered) – 15 g

Cardamom (chopped into powder) – 1

Instructions

1. Lightly fry Quaker oats * powder (ghee if desired) until fragrant.

2. Add the goa to the pan, stirring constantly and cook for a few minutes over low heat.

3. Add sugar / sugar syrup (optional / to taste). Stir constantly over low heat until the mixture comes out of the side of the pan and cook again.

4. Remove from the heat and add the almond powder and cardamom powder.

5. Rub on ghee coated thali and let cool.

6. Cut into burgers and serve.

* For powdered quaker oats, fry quaker oats for 2-3 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer.

Quaker Oats Namakparas Institute of Home Economics

required things:

Roasted and Powdered Quaker Oats * – 20 g
Refined flour – 30 g
Oil – 5 g
Salt – to taste

Instructions:

– Add spices and roasted Quaker oats * to the ground. Rub in oil.

– Make a hard dough using water.

– Roll the dough to 1/8 ”thickness and cut into namakbara shapes.

– Grease the baking tray and bake until golden brown.

– Store in an airtight jar.

* For powdered quaker oats, fry quaker oats for 2-3 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer.
